Stripe connects directly from Finta’s bank connection flow. You create a restricted key in Stripe, paste it into Finta, and review the saved account before you continue.

Before you start

Open the Restricted keys page in Stripe and create a key for Finta. Use these permissions: Use a restricted key that starts with rk_live_. Do not use a secret key that starts with sk_live_.

Connect your account

  1. Open Accounts in Finta.
  2. Select Add bank connection.
  3. Select Stripe. Finta opens the restricted-key form directly.
  4. Paste the restricted key and select Connect Stripe.
  5. Review the saved Stripe account.
Finta checks the key and its permissions before saving the connection. The key field clears after the check. Your first sync runs separately, so you can leave the connection flow and continue setting up a destination.

Fix a connection error

  • The key format is wrong: Copy the restricted key again. Live restricted keys start with rk_live_.
  • A permission is missing: Update the named resource in Stripe, then enter the key again.
  • The account is already connected: Review the saved connection instead of connecting it again.
  • Stripe asks Finta to wait: Close the form and try again later. Finta does not know the wait time unless Stripe provides one.
  • The check fails twice: Return later or use Get help instead of submitting the key again.
  • Finta cannot confirm the save: Check Accounts before entering the key again. If Stripe is not listed, use Get help from the connection flow.
Never include a restricted key in a support request. Describe what happened without pasting the key.
