Connect Google Sheets

1. In Finta, create a destination and choose Google Sheets.
2. Authorize the Google account that owns the spreadsheet.
3. Select the spreadsheet and the records you want Finta to sync.

Customize your spreadsheet

• Rename any tab, including the tabs Finta writes to.
• Reorder tabs.
• Add your own tabs for formulas, pivots, and charts.
• Reorder the columns in a Finta tab. Finta matches columns by the header in row 1, not by position.

Changes that affect syncing

• Deleting a tab Finta writes to. Finta does not recreate it, and that table stops syncing while your other tables keep updating. To fix it, point the table at another tab (see below).
• Renaming or removing a column header in row 1. Finta finds each column by its header text. If a required column is missing, the sync fails until the header is restored. Other renamed columns stop updating.
• Typing in Finta’s rows. When your bank removes a transaction, for example a pending charge that is cancelled, Finta deletes the whole row, including anything you added to it. A pending transaction that posts is updated in the same row. Keep your own notes and formulas on a separate tab.

Move a table to a different tab

1. Open the destination in your Finta dashboard.
2. Under Synced Tables, click the table you want to move.
3. In Sheet Name, pick the tab. Click Refresh Tables if a tab you just added isn’t listed, or choose Create from Template to have Finta add a new tab with the right headers.
4. Check the column mapping and click Save.
