How to Connect your Mercury Account

Finta connects to your Mercury account via an API Token. Follow the steps below to connect your Mercury account to Finta.

1. Create an API Token

Go to the API Token page within your Mercury account. Create a Read Only token. You can leave the “IP Whitelist” field blank.

2. Set up your connection

On the Accounts page, click “Add Bank Connection” and then click “Mercury”. Enter the API Token you created in the last step and then click on “Create”.

What happens next?

Every day, Finta will automatically sync your accounts and transactions to your destination.

Then, go to your destination’s page and click on the refresh button.

Direct Connection vs Connecting via Plaid

You can connect your Mercury account to Finta either using the direct connection mentioned here or by connecting via Plaid. It is recommended that you use the direct connection for the following reasons:

• The direct connection allows for unlimited history, you can sync as far back in time as you like. The Plaid connection is limited to the last three years
• You can sync recent data with the direct connection. With Plaid, updates are sent on a daily schedule
• The direct connection has better accuracy and less downtime
